Women’s Chamber Names Outstanding Businesses and Businesswomen at Awards Lunch

DENVER, Oct. 23, 2009 – The Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC) honored recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Young Professional of the Year Award and Company of the Year for small, medium and large businesses Friday during the Annual Awards Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.

The CWCC selected Kathryn Paul, Delta Dental of Colorado, as the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.  Additional finalists for the award included Luella Chavez D’Angelo, Western Union Foundation; Dana Crawford, Urban Neighborhoods; and Melissa Edelman, Wealth Concepts, LLC/MassMutual.

The Chamber selected Gloria Schoch, First Data & the First Data Foundation, as the Young Professional of the Year Award recipient.  Other Young Professional finalists included Laura Roberts, Xcel Energy; Shelley Thompson, Allen & Vellone P.C.; and Kara Veitch, Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C.

The Women’s Chamber named Qwest Communications, Large; Delta Dental of Colorado, Medium; and GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, Small Companies of the Year.  Additional finalists included Xcel Energy, Inc., Large; The Integer Group, Medium; and SalesLeadership, Inc., Small Companies of the Year.
